Houston Press article from 11/17/1994 confirms the gig was on 11/17/1994. At the very end of the article, it reads:
"Guided By Voices opens for the Grifters at 9 p.m. on Thursday, November 17 at the Urban Art Bar. Tickets cost $5 advance, $7 at the door."
